Statement of Inclusion
The Office of Family Engagement is committed to diversity and purposeful inclusion in our services, programs, and resources that promote the engagement of family members in student success. We are committed to advocating for and centering the experiences of First-Generation, BIPOC, and LGBTQ students and families, and to developing and promoting culturally conscious, respectful, and transformational programs and services. We embrace a multidimensional concept of family and the diversity of family structures, including families of origin and families of choice. While parents are often the primary source of support for students, we recognize that students receive support from a variety of relationships and contexts. We seek to create an environment that fosters inclusive language, programs, and services in support of all students and their family members.
