We want to stay connected to you!

Attention parents/families of entering first-year and transfer students: We appreciate your interest in the Maryland Parent & Family Association. Following orientation, your student will be asked to complete the university's Parent/Family Member Information Form. Once submitted, your free membership in the Association will be activated and you can look forward to receiving our eConnection newsletter and other communication from the university.

The University of Maryland is committed to providing timely information to parents and family members about Family Weekend and other special events, sharing news and announcements from across the campus (including the University President), and distributing information during an urgent situation or emergency on campus.

The Parent & Family eConnection is a monthly newsletter—distributed in electronic format—to provide the families of University of Maryland students with relevant news items and special notices. eConnection is automatically distributed via email to the members of the Maryland Parent & Family Association.

If you are the parent, guardian or other supportive family member of a currently enrolled student at the University and you are not receiving our monthly newsletter, please activate your membership in the Maryland Parent & Family Association by completing the form below.

Please note that the Office of Parent and Family Affairs maintains strict control over access to the information in our database. The Office of Parent and Family Affairs utilizes e-mail as the primary method for communicating with parents and family members. By entering your e-mail address on this form, you agree to receive our monthly electronic newsletter for parents/families (eConnection) and other communication from our office and/or the University via e-mail. E-mail communication is used only for official university business. You are welcome to opt out at any time.
